Cooking and Entertaining: Cookies & Cups' Peanut Butter Cup Crack Brownies

Cookies & Cups' Peanut Butter Cup Crack Brownies

While I like brownies and peanut butter cups, I don’t go crazy over them. However, when combined there’s a synergistic effect and the result is a to-die-for treat!

I found this recipe on the Cookies & Cups website, and made a few changes to suit me. Instead of preparing a boxed brownie mix, I made homemade brownies using premium chocolate. For the second layer, I replaced full-sized peanut butter cups with bite-sized Reese’s minis (so I wouldn’t have to chop them) and didn’t chop the peanuts. In the top layer, I replaced the creamy peanut butter with crunchy because I like the little peanut bits and used a combination of traditional and natural peanut butter (because that was what we had in the house!) The result was amazing, and everyone I served them to loved them!

Because I used a much smaller pan (9" x 9"), I had to increase
the cooking time by about 15-20 minutes
