Cooking and Entertaining: Mojito Iced Green Tea

Mick's Karma Bar's Mojito Iced Tea

On my last visit to California, I ate at my favorite burger restaurant, Mick’s Karma Bar. In addition to a habanero burger with French fries, I also treated myself to a mojito iced tea. Since this drink is so refreshing in warmer weather, I wanted to recreate it at home. My version isn’t quite as tasty as Mick’s, but it’s a good substitute when I can’t travel 3,000 miles to get an iced tea!

Mojito Iced Green Tea

1 green tea bag
¼ C.  water
¼ C.  sugar
¼ lime
¼ C.  mint leaves

Prepare green tea according to package instructions and allow to cool. Heat water, add sugar and stir until dissolved. Cool to room temperature. In a tall glass, muddle the mint and lime together. Add the tea, about 1 tablespoon sugar syrup (to taste), ice, stir and enjoy.
