Book Review: “Her”

   Harriet Lane

Her is the story of an unlikely friendship between two middle-aged Londoners.  Nina is a sophisticated, successful artist while Emma is an overwrought, new mother.  After a seemingly innocent meeting, it soon becomes clear the entire introduction was a set-up and that one of the women has a hidden agenda.

Written in the same vein as Gone Girl, Her is best described as a chick lit thriller.  It had me on the edge of my seat and was completely unpredictable.  Told from both Nina and Emma’s viewpoints, Her shows how the smallest action can have a profound effect on another.
